How Much Do Solar Panels Cost?
The cost of installing solar panels in Ireland can vary depending on several factors such as the size of the system, quality of equipment, and which solar company you choose to install your system.
On average, a system for a typical residential installation can cost anywhere from €4,000 to €12,000.
Keep in mind that this is an estimate only and is a broad price bracket. Final costs will vary depending on the specific needs of your property and any additional components that you may require, such as batteries, optimisers and ev chargers.
The initial investment can often be partially offset by government incentives such as the SEAI Solar PV Grant (up to €2,100), and potential savings on your electricity bills. The SEAI solar panel grant is currently only available for properties built prior to the 31st December 2020.
